Here is why it is always to hand. The board is its own case: it opens flat to 14 inches and closes back to 9, with every piece travelling inside it. There is no box and no bag to fetch from anywhere else, so it lives on the shelf within arm's reach. And because the case is finished in a fine-grain premium PU, the handling that comes with being used wipes away rather than marking it.
