Description

Every backgammon board comes in the same two browns, as though the game had been designed once, in 1974, and left alone since.

This one was drawn. Six muted tones run across pale ash, and the field reads as a print you would have framed if it weren't a board.

Pick up a checker before you play. It is turned wood rather than moulded, and it carries a weight that tells you where it will land. The drawers run on wood, not rails, so they close with a sound closer to a cabinet than to a box.
